Face & body painting, glitter tattoos +

IMPORTANT INFO THAT ALL PARENTS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT: I use only professional “FDA approved safe-for-skin” hypoallergenic cosmetic-grade face paint. Technically it is theatrical make-up. It’s made with all natural ingredients and will wash off with soap & water. Some blues may leave behind a light stain, but will be fully removed with coconut oil, or makeup remover.
The so-called “face paint” found in your local stores such as Hobby Lobby and Michael’s, contains lead and is NOT FDA approved-for-skin, and in fact has caused some kids problems such as rashes. The glitter I use is also cosmetic-grade, “FDA approved-for-skin”, made from polyester, and will not harm the skin or eyes. Glitter purchased in your local stores is made from metal and NOT approved for use on skin. I’m sure you know what could happen if metal glitter got in the eyes. Even the glue that professional Facepainter’s use for gems or glitter tattoos, is medical-grade, FDA approved-for-skin. Professional face painting products cannot be bought in your local stores. So if you wonder why face painters charge what we do....it’s cause these products are not cheap.😉 So if you ever think you’re getting a good deal by finding a face painter that charges less than $100 an hour, you can be sure they are not using professional supplies.

A little about me: I’ve been doing face painting (and body painting) for many years, have a degree in art, and truly love doing it!! There’s nothing like the smile on a kid’s face when they first look in the mirror after being painted!

A typical question people always ask is, “how many faces can you paint in an hour?” This depends on SO MANY things, including the type of event. For very large events, like school carnivals, public fairs & festivals, and the planner wants to offer it free, I only do what I call “speed designs” which are extremely basic, very simple, quick, unimpressive designs, in order to do as many kids as possible. Hopefully 40ish or so kids an hour. I will not do these designs at your private parties. Private parties are where the kids can choose any design at all and it has lots of details, and bling, like unicorns & Spider-Man. This is where we do our best work! I estimate 10, maybe 12 kids per hour, but like I said, it still depends on many things such as….
#1 - The design that the kid’s choose. Some designs are full face or have a lot more detail than other designs.
#2 - Whether they definitely have their mind made up as to what design they want when they sit down in my chair. #3 - Whether they change their mind once they sit down, which often happens usually after I fully load up my brush and am about to start! LOL #4 - Whether Mom or Dad are trying to talk them into picking something other than what the child really wants. (You know who you are mom & dad ;-) LOL).
#5 - If Mom decides to fix their child’s hair AFTER the child sits in my chair. HAHAHA! Oh it happens more than you think! I could go on & on & on, but you see where I’m coming from when I say it depends on so many things.Trust me, I’ve been face painting professionally for well over 10  years. But a good estimate would be somewhere around 10.

Glitter tattoos take about 3 minutes to do because the glue must fully dry on the skin before the glitter can be applied. So with these, I usually do about 15 kids per hour.

I can come up with face paint designs for any theme. I’ve done birthdays, fairs, festivals, Mardi Gras, mall events, school events, corporate events, grand openings, the Hollywood Children’s Festival of the Arts at Paramount Studios, hospitals, restaurants, etc. I also do face or body painting for photo shoots, and studio filming.

NEW: By popular demand, I have an assistant now, and am offering different crafts for kids! Whether it be at your party, wedding, shower, or any event! Please inquire regarding this.

ALSO NEW: Now offering helium balloons inflated at your event. Kids can choose from many different colors, designs, sizes, as well as metallic or Mylar balloons.

Call, email, or text me with any questions or bookings. Weekends fill up very fast, so don’t wait!
